Bhayasamaya – Deshakshi – Geetam

Shri Chitravina N Ravikiran teaches the Deshakshi Geetam, set to Tishra Triputa tala. This is a beautiful, short composition of Purandara Dasa, hailed as the Father of Carnatic Music. Shri Ravikiran gives an outline of the rare raga Deshakshi, before proceeding to teach the geetam in both swara-based and lyrics-based formats.
