Harihara vinuta – Nattai – Geetam

Shri Chitravina N RaviKiran teaches ‘Harihara vinuta’, a short geetam in the raga Nattai set to Chaturashra jati Eka tala. A succinct description of the raga is followed by the notes in the composition and capped off with its lyrics. This interactive teaching session gives a great introduction to Nattai, which will enable students to negotiate more easily complex passages in krtis like Tyagaraja’s pancharatna (Jagadananda karaka) or Oottukkadu Venkata Kavi’s saptaratna (Bhajanamrta paramananda).
