Shree Ramachandra – Gowla – Geetam

Shri Chitravina N Ravikiran teaches the Gowla geetam, ‘Shree Ramachandra’ set to Rupaka tala. Shri Ravikiran gives an introduction to the raga before proceeding to teach the tune and lyrics of the piece. This geetam gives a great introduction to Gowla, which will enable students to negotiate more easily complex passages in krtis like Tyagaraja’s pancharatna (Dudukugala) or Oottukkadu Venkata Kavi’s saptaratna (Aganita mahima).
