For the first time in the history of Chennai Music Season, you can browse concerts of all artistes across all Sabhas, using your iPhone or iPod Touch.

“Music Season 2011″ also is the Beta version of the Photo-Track product, customized specifically for the Chennai Music Season 2011 – 2012.

What is a Photo-Track?

Photo Track is a completely new way of sharing an experience with your friends and others in the community. This combines the beauty of an image with a sound track and helps in letting pictures talk. Anything can be photo-tracked. The picture of a Ferrari combined with the sound of the V8 engine conveys a completely new meaning about the Ferrari. The picture of the Niagara falls combined with the sound of pouring water conveys the real beauty and grandeur of the Niagara.

Why Photo-Track for Concerts?

Concerts produce instances of sheer brilliance that has to be captured for eternity. Such moments of brilliance happen only when artistes are “in their zone”. When every artist on the stage is “in their zone”, the whole concert is elevated to a completely different level. Fans who are attending the concerts can photo-track these brilliant moments on their phone & also share them with their Social Graph spread across the world (or) also with others in the community.

What is “Music Season 2011″?

This app is the first version of the Photo-Track product and there is no better place to look for brilliance in concerts than the Chennai Music Season. This month-long event brings the best of the artistes and a world-wide audience for Carnatic Music (South Indian Classical Music). With a wide range of Sabhas (organizers) organizing concerts by the best of the artistes, it becomes very difficult for an avid listener to hop onto Sabhas / Venues and listen to portions of a concert by an artist.

With a community driven app like this, the wide range of audience help in capturing the best moments from different concerts, spread across different Sabhas. With different people contributing, the whole app is an experience to soak yourself into some of the best music. This is an app driven by the best Carnatic Music Fans and it is not bound to disappoint.

1. The “Concerts” option allows users to browse all the concerts happening across different Sabhas. If you have to look at concerts at a specific Sabha alone, use the “Filter” feature and view concerts by Artist, Date, Sabha
2. The “Create” option lets you create a new photo-track. By default, a 30-sec clipping of the audio is recorded. After the recording is done, you can assign a picture with this sound-track. Add tags to the photo-track and share it with the community
3. The “Home” option is a set of all photo-tracks that have been created by you
4. The “Feed” option is a collection of the most popular feeds & the most recent feeds from other photo-track users
5. The “Avatar” option lets you pick an avatar using which you can communicate with the community

The photos taken using this app will be stored in a Cloud Server and shared amongst the users of this app enabling them to be update on the happenings around.
