Acharyanet has been organizing a series of workshops conducted by Guru Shri Chitravina N Ravikiran on the topic of ‘Manodharma and Rare Krthis from the Brinda school’ to commemorate the centenary of the Carnatic music legends , Sangeeta Kalanidhis T Brinda and Madurai Mani Iyer.
2 workshops have already been conducted. Part 1 in this series was on the topic of ‘Kalpana Swarams and rare krthis and javalis from the Brinda school’. Part 2 was on the topic of ‘Neraval and rare krthis and javalis from the Brinda school’. These workshops have been recorded live and the ‘manodharma’ modules are available on this page for download.

This package contains the entire contents of the 2 day workshop conducted by Shri Chitravina Ravikiran commemorating the centenary of the Carnatic music legends T Brinda and Madurai Mani Iyer. This package includes: varied approaches and techniques to Neraval singing, Neraval singing in special lyrical constructions, Neraval singing in Pallavis, and a set of 7 compositions including rare krtis and Javalis from the T Brinda school.
