About Swathi Thirunal

Swathi Thirunal(1813-1846) composed over 400 songs in both the Carnatic and Hindustani styles with the mudra, "Padmanabha". He was the king of Travancore and his palace played host to many musical names such as the Tanjore quartet. He lived during the trnity period in Carnatic music hence, his great intrest for this type of music. To know more, click here.
