Shuddha Madhyama is the foreign note (Anya swara) which occurs in the raga in the RGM1RS prayoga. Minimal usage of this combination effectively brings out the raga.Prati Madhyama plays the lifeline of the Raga along with Rishabha,Gandhara,Dhaivatha and Nishadha.

The raga can be elaborated between the nishada in the lower octave to gandhara in the higher octave. This raga demonstrates shringara,Bhakti, karuna and haasya rasas effectively.
The raga is a vakra sampoorna raga, where the combinations SRGM,MGRS are not used directly. (Writeup contributed by Ragini Sanath)
