Todi (also known as Hanumathodi) is the 8th Melakarta ragam and 2nd ragam in the 2nd chakra Netra, with several janya ragams (derived ragams) including Bhupalam, Dhanyasi, and Punnagavarali.
 
The raga Todi has a symmetrical arohanam and avarohanam and is considered a complex ragam to perform, with predominant use of lower notes. This sampoorna ragam, is the shuddha madhyamam equivalent of Bhavapriya ragam.

This ragam evokes bhakthi and karuna rasas. Its Hindustani music equivalent is the Bhairavi thaat. Popular compositions in this ragam include Thaye Yashoda and Jatadhara by Oothukkadu Venkata Kavi, and Nee Vanti Daivamunu by Thyagaraja.
